How to connect a Bluetooth smart trainer

Pair your smart trainer over Bluetooth and get real, physical resistance on every climb and descent — no extra hardware, just your browser.

Before you start

  • Chrome or Edge, on desktop or Android — Web Bluetooth isn't supported in Safari or Firefox.
  • A secure connection (this site's normal https:// address) — Web Bluetooth refuses to run otherwise.
  • Bluetooth turned on on your computer or phone.
  • A smart trainer that broadcasts over Bluetooth (most FE-C / FTMS trainers do).
1

Open the ride setup screen

Go to Play — you'll land on the setup screen before the ride starts, with the Connections panel open automatically.

2

Wake up your trainer

Pedal a few turns. Most smart trainers start advertising over Bluetooth automatically once they sense motion.

3

Tap "Connect trainer"

Your browser's own device picker opens, listing every nearby Bluetooth device.

4

Select your trainer

Pick its name from the list (check the label on the unit if you're not sure which one it is) and confirm.

5

Confirm the connection

The dot next to "Trainer" turns green and live power and cadence start showing on the ride HUD — you're ready to go.
